maut1.de joins the EETS Facilitation Platform
The mobility startup maut1.de is a new member of the EETS (European Electronic Toll Service) Facilitation Platform. By joining, the Rosenheim-based company is actively committed to the further simplification and harmonisation of electronic toll collection in Europe.
The EETS Facilitation Platform brings together toll operators, toll box providers (TSPs), representatives of the European Commission and other relevant stakeholders on the subject of tolling in Europe to drive forward the implementation and further development of the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS). The aim is to create simple, efficient and user-friendly tolling solutions for cross-border traffic in Europe that are compatible with all European tolling systems.
"Being a member of the EETS Facilitation Platform is an important step for us to actively participate in the future of European tolling and, above all, to put the interests of car and motorhome users more in the foreground. We look forward to working together to make mobility in Europe simpler, more efficient and more transparent," says Julian Schmelzer, CEO and co-founder of maut1.de. With him as a representative on the steering committee, maut1.de is actively contributing its professional and technical expertise to this collaboration.
"We are delighted that maut1.de is joining the EETS Facilitation Platform. With its expertise, knowledge and focus on tolling for cars, motorbikes and motorhomes, the company will be an important supporter of interoperable tolling in Europe," says Francesco Maria Cenci, Executive Board Member at the EETS Facilitation Platform and Head of Toll Unit & Sales Channel at Telepass S.P.A.
About maut1 GmbH
maut1.de is a mobility tech start-up that offers electronic toll collection devices for contactless toll processing in various countries such as Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and, for large vehicles over 3 metres in height, also for Austria. There are reserved lanes for toll box users that cannot be used by manual payers (cash/credit card), saving up to 45 minutes of waiting time per toll station. This makes every passage through the toll station much more convenient. The toll box also helps to reduce emissions, as it improves traffic flow at toll stations and reduces stop-and-go traffic and congestion at toll stations.
With over 200,000 active customers, maut1.de has firmly established itself in the DACH and BeNeLux markets. maut1.de's partners include industry giants such as ADAC, ÖAMTC, ANWB and APCOA.
With new digital services such as parking service via number plate recognition, maut1.de is developing into a comprehensive mobility platform for digital services in private transport.& nbsp;
